Status update to JWFAN.NET/COM.

Ricard and I waiting for Jack that he can bring the server
back online. After he bringt the old website back online we
migrate the complete website back to a new V-Server.
This need 1-3 days. Rent a new server, transfer the website
and bring it back online.

Yes again I am the hoster and admin of jwfan.net.
Hope this is not a problem.

To the comments over the mainpage: Yes we use a really old system
to post NEWS on the mainpage. I think we see a better and smaller
system in the future. Like a system build into the messageboard or
like a blog (I waiting for Ricards wishes)

Hope Jack bring the server back only very soon!

Thank you for popping in with the info Andreas, you're a good guy and your commitment to the hosting of JWFAN has been SORELY missed. I understand from Jason it is to be donations based. It is nice to be able to talk to my friends away from FSM, were I'm a bit under scrutiny.

In my last post there I actually deleted a line about circumcision, because of any possible political/religious implications it may have to some there....

Thanks for the news Andreas! I don't think any of us here will have a problem with the fact that JWFAN will be owned by you again. At least we can count on the only time the board goes down is during actual maintenance and not because a payment was missed.

I still think though that donations from us members (those who can afford it) is a good idea, so paying the bill each month won't have to souly rely on either Ricard or Andreas.

Do top donators get new JWFAN mugs?

I donated several hundred Euro's to get those mugs, I seem to remember.

I really was a money waster in those days...

You could have spent all that on Cider

I didn't drink in those days.

And drinking Cider from a mug is just uncivilized....

2 days and this place already has a lived in look
