JWFAN.NET Status

I'm going to bet it'll be another two weeks before Andreas finally has everything from Jack. If not, then that's great, but based on Jacks lack of communication that's why I said 2 weeks.

Maybe he's having some problems that have nothing to do with anything related JWFan (or any website) that he's not willing to share with anybody here. In situations like this people generally can't be bothered.

I'm inclined to agree with Quint on this matter. Honestly if he gave a shit less about JWFAN he'd get the bill paid even if someone offered him the damn money! I know I would! Jack maybe in his 20's but he's got A LOT of growing up to do.

I sent him a message asking him why he hasn't paid yet, to which I've gotten no reply.

I hope, when the old messageboard is lost, the community will do a fresh restart.
John Williams is alive and I hope the JWFAN.NET community is ready for a new and better
beginning. We will find a solution for the next years and I think (when its OK for the community)
I will host the website up to their end. And we will see many backups and fail back systeme
that we never!!!! lost the complete messageboard/website again.

Its make me sad that we lost so many topics, news, reports, members... but we can't change it.
My hope is Jack, but I can't understand him. What talking so long? No comments, no mails...
He lost the website? He need more money? Take revenge to the community????

I'm not entirely sure WTF is going on around the subject of JWFan. There's a lot, and I mean a LOT that JWFan has that will all be wasted effort if the site doesn't go back online. What crazy fool would want that? Especially if he is paying for the server space (in theory, anyways)

It is possible to recover some of JWfan through Yahoo's cache of certain pages. its sadly text only.

But am I correct in thinking that we'll still get it all back as long as Jack pays the bill and hands over the account info before JWFan is deleted by the hosting company?

Yes, that is my understanding. What we don't know is whether or not 1&1 has already deleted the data, and whether or not Jack even plans on paying the bill.

He told me he was planning on paying it, but then I gave him the money to do so on Saturday, and now 3 days have passed and he still hasn't paid it so...

That's getting more/less funny with every passing day.

If the whole website is lost then its over forever. It was the greatest filmmusic website on the whole www and has immense value as historic "document"
about anything concerning JW.

I still can't believe how no one has a backup data. I mean this is just crazy. To give the website in the hands of an "unknown" without keeping a backup data. Isn't there at least a backup of several years ago???
